The camera does not read my monitor
Hold the phone steady about 15–20 cm from the display, with the numbers filling the frame, and make sure the display is well lit and not reflecting a window or lamp. Some monitors turn their backlight off after a few seconds — press the button once to wake it. You can always tap "Enter by hand" instead; the camera is only there to save you typing.
A reading was saved with the wrong number
Tap the reading on the Today screen or in the calendar and correct it. Every value can be edited or deleted afterwards.
My evening reading is filed under the next day
Open Settings → Morning and evening, and set "A new day starts at" to an hour after your latest possible reading (3 a.m. by default). A reading taken after midnight but before that hour counts as the previous day.
Reminders do not appear
Check that notifications are allowed for Steady in the Settings app of your device, and that the reminder is switched on in Settings → Measurement reminders.
I paid but Premium is not active
Open Settings → Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account you used for the purchase.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Manage or cancel subscription, which opens your subscription list. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps the subscription until the end of the period you have paid for. Your records remain on your device and can still be exported.
I am changing phones
On the old phone: Settings → Backup and transfer → Save a backup file, and put the file somewhere the new phone can reach (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop). On the new phone: install Steady, then Settings → Backup and transfer → Restore from a backup file. This is free.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Records stay on your device. We collect no personal information and run no server for your data. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does Steady not tell me whether my blood pressure is bad?
Because that is a judgement for your doctor, not for an app. Steady shows your numbers, your averages, and — if you entered one — how far each reading is from your own target. It does not suggest a target and leaves the interpretation to the person qualified to make it.
